WP: Hey Ben! You don't know how honored I am to be interviewing someone from where I live! You reside in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Louisiana is a great place and is full of great Models and Athletes, such as yourself. It's time to bring such talent out into the spotlight! You are my first interview from the State of Louisiana! Welcome! Let’s begin with you telling our readers a little about yourself.
BW: My name is Ben Webster. I’m 21, young and living! Working hard and staying dedicated. If I’m not at work or school, I’m in the gym. I love it. It pays to be in front of the cam. I’m staying confident and striving for all my goals. I’m always ready to rock the camera!
WP: What was it that made you know without a doubt that you wanted to go into bodybuilding?
BW: After a whole year, 5 days a week of gym time, my body was shaping up and looking great. The hard work had to pay off in other ways, and I was ready to get in front of the camera or on stage. I was ready for the spot light!
WP: How long have you been lifting?
BW: When I entered High School I had the, 'Athlete Syndrome'. I just had to get out on the field, score a touchdown, slide in to home, and cross the finish line first. It was something I had in me and with all the sports came the weight lifting.
WP: What titles have you won?
BW: I’ve always been the one to need to come out on top in all the sports. From the trophies to the ribbons, I’ve had quite a few. However, I’m still striving for that 1st fitness/body building title!
WP: Do you have any advice to people that wish to build more mass and more cut?
BW: I’m all about nutrition. Most know what to do in the weight room. However, the growth and repair cannot occur without the necessary building blocks. These are supplied by high quality nutrition. Bodybuilders require a very specialized diet. Generally speaking, bodybuilders require anything between 500-1000 calories above their maintenance level of food energy whilst attempting to increase lean body mass. A sub-maintenance level of food energy is combined with cardiovascular exercise to lose body fat in preparation for a contest. The ratios of food energy from carbohydrates, proteins and fats vary depending on the goals of the bodybuilder.
Bodybuilders split their food intake for the day into 5-7 meals of roughly equal nutritional content and attempt to eat at regular intervals. This interval is normally between 2-3 hours. The reason for this is to allow greater absorption of nutrients, and to increase basal metabolic rate. This process is also valuable for those wishing merely to lose fat.
WP: I adore how you described that in detail. That will maybe help our readers to understand more about the subject. Thank you. What do you eat in a normal day?
BW: 6am: Egg whites, dry oatmeal, and a banana.
9am: Cup of fruit, cottage cheese, and protein shake.
12pm: An 8 oz. of lean mean chicken, turkey, banana, and granola.
3pm: Can of tuna or small fish fillet.
6pm: Sweet potatoes, skinless chicken, flank steak, or turkey breast, with a cup of veggies, and brown rice.
WP: I see you stop eating at 6 p.m. and you also eat 5 times a day. You eat very clean. Do you allow yourself a cheat day?
BW: I usually rest up on a Sunday and yes, I occasionally splurge. Only when I meet a goal though, and after I treat myself, I’m back on my next task in the weight room!
WP: That's great! I feel everyone needs to splurge once in a while. But, keep your eye on your goal. What supplements do you take?
BW: I’ve taken quite a few of the GNC products for muscle gains. From Nano vapor, super pump 250, Super Charge, NO Explode, Red Line, Hydroxycut, Anabolic Halo, Animal Cuts and much more. All within different cycles and time periods.
WP: Could you tell me a story of how you have gotten where you are today?
WP: I’ve always been an average size, all through elementary, Junior High and into High School, I can recall maybe being a little on the smaller side. I graduated High School at 160 lbs. with a little muscle, but not much. Ever since I was a small boy, I can remember asking my father, “Dad, am I ever going to be as big as you” Dad replying, “Son, you’re going to be a bigger man then me” after the hard work and dedication to building my body here I am today. My father is a little man. Ha-ha.
WP: Do you have anyone you can thank for helping you get where you are?
BW: My family and friends who are all so supportive of me and all I do. I thank my father, specifically.
WP: You speak of your Father with such admiration. It sounds like there needs to be more Dad's out there like yours. Tell me about your modeling.
BW: I decided to become a model a little over a year ago. These past 12 months sure have been quite an experience! I love it. Everything about it! It’s out of the ordinary. It’s a career that people find so interesting and want to know so much about. The human eye is never satisfied and modeling gives people something to stare at. I’ve had the chance to work with some of the best in the industry and realize how blessed I am to have the opportunities I’ve been given. Here lately, I’ve been getting so much exposure and my name is getting out there so much more. I’m looking forward to continuing my process of accomplishing my goals in modeling and I’m always striving for much more.
WP: I must say, you do very well modeling. I was very impressed with I first saw you. Where do you want to be in 5 years?
BW: “La to LA” a motto I’m always posting on my web sites. It simply means ‘Louisiana to Los Angeles’. In 5 years, I can see myself finally accomplishing my goal to move there.
WP: Just keep your eyes on your goal and you will be there in no time! You look great! How do you keep the physique you have? What is the hardest thing for you to face when it comes to keeping your physique?
BW: There’s always an off-season and on-season. It takes some much work and discipline to stay in shape and eat right. With so many fast food restaurants, the temptation remains. It’s the discipline that overcomes the urges to eat unhealthy. It really shows character when you can remain in shape all year around.
WP: What gets you up in the morning?
BW: I wake up every morning immediately with the thought, “I sure am lucky to be alive”. I’m blessed to even experience a day here on earth and to just live, breathe, talk, and walk,” the miracle of life gets me out of bed, and I thank God for it every morning!
WP: What a great outlook on life! Great answer! How do you approach a challenge?
BW: I always approach a challenge knowing that I only live once and with my one life O
I’m here to learn and grow and get to the kingdom of heaven, and with every obstacle I realize God is always on my side. Whether the obstacle is a personal challenge or a tribulation, I know that anything in my path is there to over come it with my heavenly father.
WP: How do you create balance in your life?
BW: I’m always helping others, going to church, and giving advice or inspiring and encouraging others in as many ways as I can. It makes me feel great. That itself, balances me well.
WP: I understand you worked with our Senior Photographer, John at bbpics.com. What was it like working with him?
BW: Well, John is one very talented photographer, and he’s become a wonderful friend. I remain in touch with him and even plan on another shoot here very soon. We’ve had many conversations and I can relate so well with him. He is an easy person to talk to and getting along comes much easier. John Mitchell is one of the best photographers I have ever met and no doubt one of the best in the industry.
WP: John is very talented and we're honored to have him with our company for so many years. He sets hisself apart from other photographers just because he truly cares about his models. How did he go over and beyond for you?
BW: John contacted me and asked me to fly out to Phoenix, Arizona to shoot with him and several models. The trip was a blast. John had a room for me and also had transportation available for us every day to the locations. He was on top of everything. We ended up having a HUGE group through out the week in Phoenix. It was a lot of fun working with John.
WP: Would you recommend him to your friends?
BW: John’s constantly looking for new talent and great guys to work with. Most of my friends are in to all I’m into and can relate to the fitness world. I will definitely recommend John Mitchell as a photographer.
WP: What one piece of advice you can share with me on how to gain the most muscle the fastest?
BW: It’s all about the nutrition. Once you’re educated on the working out and you’re doing it properly, the eating healthy and getting the proper amount of sleep will give you the most progression.
WP: Are you married, dating, or do you have kids?
BW: I keep all focus on my goals, work, and school. Girls are great, but they are such an distractions. I date occasionally
WP: You are not the only person that has said that to me lately. It shows determination. Who had the most impact on you growing up?
BW: I would have to say my father had the biggest role in me growing up. He had so much input in all I did. From the sports to the modeling, he is by far my biggest supporter.

WP: That's a great workout! No wonder why you look as great as you do! Have you played in sports before?
BW: I’m quit the jock! In High School, I played football, baseball, basketball, and ran track. I also played in the semi-pro football league.
WP: Anything you would like to see change in the bodybuilding world?
BW: Drug screening all the contestants for big competitions and publications. I am a natural body builder and take natural supplements. Steroids give huge gains, but are harmful to the body. I would like to see many stricter rules put in place for the body building world.
WP: Not to forget to mention, steroids are not just harmful to the body, they are also illegal! It just seems people just completely forget about that! What is your greatest achievement in bodybuilding?
BW: The biggest part of bodybuilding and is the most rewarding to me is seeing the results. I do it for the results. I love the physique I’m blessed with and I strive to add more and look my best. It’s very rewarding having all the hard work pay off.
WP: What are your interests outside of bodybuilding?
BW: I attend school at Baton Rouge Community College, majoring in business Management. I’m very much interested in increasing my levels of education and establishing a great role in life. I also like to keep a steady attendance in my church. I learn so much more about life in general in church rather then school. I participate in small flag football leagues encouraging others to stay active, and I also train people for free in the gym and am always into inspiring people to get healthy and accomplish their fitness goals.
WP: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
BW: This seems to be a very personal question, a question to point out flaws. My biggest flaw and one thing I would like to change about myself would be to attend church more, give more, and appreciate my blessings and my life more often. I need to pray more often and thank God for all I’ve accomplished. Whether it’s in the modeling industry, school, work, or any gains in the weight room, I give the good lord all the credit.
WP: The interview is coming to a close. Is there anything else you would like to add?
BW: I would like to thank you, Tammy Renee’, for giving me the opportunity of an interview and featured on the very popular World Physique website. It will give me much exposure for my fitness goals and dreams in modeling. So thank you Tam!! I also would like to thank John Mitchell. You sure are a wonderful person, talented photographer and great friend! So, thanks for all you’ve done and for some stunning and fantastic images from our shoot.
WP: Ben, it's been you that have brought so much joy to John and I. You have been such a pleasure! Thank you for your time and good luck in your future bodybuilding endeavors!
