 My name is Elizabeth Jenkins, I am 27 years old and I am a National Level NPC Figure Competitor from Omaha, NE. I am married to my #1 fan and amazing supporter Kyle Jenkins and we have a beautiful son, Landon. My passion in life other than my family is fitness! I love working out, eating a clean diet, competing and helping others achieve their health and fitness goals.
Growing up I was always teased about being the "fat kid" which led to me living a very unhealthy lifestyle throughout my later years of high school. I became obsessed with my weight and restricted my self to one sometimes two meals per day. When I met my now husband in 2003 he introduced me to the gym and got me involved in weight training. I don't think he had any idea what kind of fitness monster he was creating! In 2007 after the birth of our son, we moved to the Bay Area. After the big move I began really hitting the gym hard and focusing on my nutrition. I was amazed at the transformation my body was making in such a short amount of time! Competing is something that I had always thought about, I loved reading national magazines, the women were so inspiring, especially Mary Elizabeth Lado! After attending the 2008 Contra Costa as a spectator I decided it was my time to step on stage! I began the process immediately, after my first competition placing 2nd I became hooked! I have been blessed with an amazing coach, Kenny Tali owner of Ken's Barbies @ MaxMuscle in Walnut Creek,CA. He has been amazing, a huge inspiration and has helped me place top 3 at all regional level shows as well placing 6th in my first National level show in Miami November 2011. In 2012, my goal is to beat my 2011 placing and obtain my IFBB Pro card and fulfill my biggest dream competing at the Olympia! Through what I have learned with my journey in the fitness industry I hope to inspire and help others achieve their fitness goals. Voting begins Feb 3, 2012 |
