 Hey there, my name is Amanda Limas. I'm a 23 year old 5'4" figure competitor from Nebraska - born and raised. On top of competing I also like to coach figure posing to other aspiring competitors and am a full time student at the University of Nebraska at Omaha pursuing a degree in Sports Medicine and plan to continue on and receive my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I grew up in a fit family, as both my parents are award winning body builders and have always been active since I was a kid. Prior to competing I was in dance for 16 years, cheerleading and gymnastics for 7 years and ran track and field through high school. December of 2009, my life turned around immediately and was forever changed when I discovered figure. After doing my research, I immediately hit the ground running the first day back in the gym...I was hooked. Four months later I received my IFPA Natural Pro Card at my very first show and again won the over-all championship 2 weeks later as well as best presentation - which has continued to be an award I strive to receive secondary to placing.
Now, here we are in 2011 and I'm striving to make my mark in the NPC and get my IFBB Pro card in 2012. I'm excited to see where this sport can take me - the biggest and brightest star in my sky in the Olympia...one day I'm going to capture it with the help and support of my family, friends and yours too will be much appreciated! I am so passionate about stage presence and posing, the greatest gift has not only been my ability to compete but to share my enthusiasm with other aspiring athletes and coach them to their utmost potential. I help each woman express their personalities on stage...I want to bring out the glitter out of their veins! Voting begins January 3, 2012 |
