Jason Watson decided one day to make a change in his life. He strongly developed a desire for a healthier lifestyle. He researched and educated himself in doing so. After gathering all of the fundamentals for a better life, he became just as interested in fitness. He worked with many trainers, learned many techniques and from that, he began to form his plan of success. It wasn’t until he met and followed the path of Douglas Zimmerman, a fitness expert of Tampa, FL. Jason’s life started to dramatically change. Douglas began educating Jason on the workout plans to achieve his goal. He also structured a meal plan for Jason. With that and Jason’s determination and tenacious, strong willed personality, Jason was able to achieve the set forth goals. Within two months, Jason and Douglas worked diligently to form the best routine to balance his nutrition and workout plans and habits.
"...Prior to my drive to transform, I was eating fast food and drinking soft drinks 2 to 3 times per day. Now, I eat 6 to 8 meals per day of organic, balanced meals. They are timed, proportioned, and consistent. Also, I drink at least one gallon of water per day."
WP: Could you tell me what challenges you faced during your transformation?
The challenges that I have faced are changing and maintaining a better meal plan and being consistent of work outs while juggling my daily business and personal life.
WP: What was the one thing that encouraged you to make this life changing decision?
Honestly, I was driving one day and noticed the way that the seatbelt was across my stomach. It wasn’t flattering at all.
WP: If you could encourage someone to follow this way of life, how would you motivate them?
I would start with ‘lead by example’ and show them my results through the before and after pictures. Encourage them daily and introduce them to a trainer and nutritionist.
WP: How much do you weigh now?
I am now 166 pounds.
WP: Do you feel you ate out of comfort or out of emotions?
Yes. Prior to my journey, when in stress I found myself eating something for instant gratification that would make me feel better emotionally. I would regret it every time.
WP: At what point in your life did you decide to make these changes? Who was it that helped motivate you to do so?
When I felt like I had everything else in life figured out- I wanted to be, feel, and look healthy. I met Douglas Zimmerman, whose lifestyle inspired me to use my strong mindset and take my body to the ultimate level.
WP: How did your life change once you started the body transformation process?
I added another layer of confidence, a better attitude. I became happier and friendlier. The interest of others inspired me.
WP: What is your outlook on your life now since you’ve made this body transformation?
Life is great! I have accomplished many goals and feel as though this has completed me.
WP: What have you accomplished since you have started your body transformation?
I did my first photo shoot with John Mitchell, of BBPics, this past February. This has opened the doors for consideration of opportunities, such as modeling.
WP: Compare your diet now to that of prior to your body transformation journey. How do they differ and that changes have you made in your diet?
Prior to my drive to transform, I was eating fast food and drinking soft drinks 2 to 3 times per day. Now, I eat 6 to 8 meals per day of organic, balanced meals. They are timed, proportioned, and consistent. Also, I drink at least one gallon of water per day.
WP: What is the proudest moment in your life that you can remember?
I started my first business back in 1996. In 2001, I was able to purchase my first company vehicle. I felt a huge amount of accomplishment. This was just the start of my success.
WP: What keeps you motivated now?
The results I see when I look in the mirror, the encouragement from people in my life and the future opportunities this could bring. Also, by being the absolute best that I can be.
WP: What is the one food you still love and eat, although you know it's not good for you?
Nothing. I am strong willed. Therefore, I don’t cheat because I know that if I do it once, it could lead to repetition.
WP: Outside of working out, what is your next love?
I love achieving the goals and dreams that I aspire while growing my business.
WP: Describe yourself in 5 words?
Successful, motivated, confident, ambitious, and determined.
WP: What makes you happy?
Helping others and succeeding with the goals I have set forth for myself.
WP: Any shout outs?
Fitness Expert and Nutritionist, Douglas Zimmerman, spent countless hours educating me. His passion is contagious.
John Mitchell of BBPics.com, photographed my first shoot. John is very creative and motivated. I was highly satisfied with his work.
WP: What is your favorite quote and why?
"If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right." -Henry Ford. I believe that this quote applies to all aspects of life and in any given situation.
WP: It’s been a pleasure interviewing you! Thank you and good luck in your future endeavors!
