Hey Robert! It's great to have you here and it's an honor to be able to give you this title! Can you describe yourself in just a few words?
RL: Thanks, Tammy. It's an honor not to just be nonimated for this title but, also to have the title of World Physique's Official Personal Trainer. I would say I am the “All American Guy” that loves life and his career as a personal trainer. In my spare time, I am found doing things outdoors and cooking.

WP: How long have you been a personal trainer?
RL: I have been a trainer close to 21 years.
WP: That's a long time! What do you feel sets you apart from all other personal trainers out there?
RL: I would have to say my personality and the personal attention each one of my clients receives is what sets me apart from other personal trainers.
WP: As long as I have known you, I would say the same thing about you! Where do you train your clients? Do you train them in a gym, at home, or where?
RL: I train my clients in the comfort of their own home or business and at Fitness Plus; which is a small gym in Fallbrook, CA. In addition, I train people online and over the phone.
WP: That would be nice to have someone to come into my home and train me. I can see why you are such an success! How much time per day do you typically spend with a client?
RL: I offer both 30 minute and 1 hour sessions. It's according to how long my clients wish to work out. They are all different.
WP: How many days do you suggest your clients to work out in a week?
RL: If I had my choice, no less then twice a week, but three times a week would be the best.
WP: What helps you get up each morning?
RL: The passion and love of what I do for my career is what gets me up each morning.
WP: I know that about you! The more people you can help in a days time, the happier you are. What motivates you?
RL: That's easy to answer! My clients motivate me!
WP: What forms of exercise do you find to be the most effective for the following? To gain mass:
RL: To gain mass, I recommend lifting heavy and doing between 8 to 10 reps.
WP: To lose weight?
RL: I have developed an awesome circuit training program that includes both cardio and working out with weights and rubber bands.
WP: To cut?
RL: Eat very clean, lots of cardio, and high reps with moderate weight.
WP: Before competition?
RL: I do not tackle this type of training. My on-line trainer and nutritionist, Kim Agnew, does all of this for us.
WP: What problems have you had as far as staying motivated and disciplined to stick with your workouts?
RL: I am blessed; this is something I have not needed to deal with as a trainer or someone that loves to train.
WP: What problems did you have to overcome in order to stay on track with your fitness program?
RL: I would have to say old football injuries.
WP: What keeps fitness interesting to you?
RL: That it changes daily and to see my clients achieve their personal goals.
WP: Tell me something about yourself that no one else knows. It’s just between us, no one else will know. Ha-ha.
RL: I love to cook!
WP: Incorporate that into personal training and that might be a gold mine! Ha-ha! How have you changed over the years?
RL: I would say I have become more humble.
WP: Any shout outs?
RL: I would love to shout out to my parents and my sister.
WP: Explain your workouts to me.
RL: I train 5 days a week, which includes hitting different body parts each and every day. As of right now, I am doing 45 minutes of cardio 4 times a week, also.
